At this year’s Shanghai Auto Show, Honda announced that it will join forces with excellent local Chinese companies Momenta, DeepSeek, and CATL to launch strategic cooperation in the fields of intelligence and electrification, opening a new chapter in Honda’s smart electric era. In the field of intelligence, China’s high-speed and urban navigation assisted driving technology is rapidly developing and popularizing at a global leading speed. To meet consumers’ demand for smart travel, Honda plans to equip its new models sold in the Chinese market with navigation assisted driving technology in the future.
As the first step towards achieving this goal, Honda has reached a deep strategic cooperation with Momenta, a leading global intelligent driving company, to jointly develop a mass production assisted driving solution based on end-to-end large models. The two parties will work together to create a large-scale application of mass production assisted driving functions covering high-speed navigation assisted driving, urban navigation assisted driving, automatic parking assistance, memory parking navigation assistance, and other scenarios in China, bringing a safer and smarter travel experience.
In addition, Honda will also collaborate with DeepSeek, a global leader in AI technology, to create a new intelligent travel experience. In the future, Ye brand related models will be integrated with DeepSeek’s AI big model technology, committed to creating a more natural voice interaction experience for users and creating a more comfortable intelligent enjoyment space. At the same time, this feature will also be updated through OTA upgrade on the first models of Honda Ye brand, Dongfeng Honda S7 and GAC Honda P7.
In the field of electrification, Honda will further deepen its cooperation with CATL, and both sides will jointly promote the development of Honda’s first integrated technology of lithium iron phosphate battery and CTB battery, achieving a significant improvement in the performance of pure electric vehicles and creating new value. The technology of this collaboration will be applied on the Honda Ye brand’s third bullet model, bringing users more efficient pure electric products.
Honda Ye brand’s second model – GT heavyweight debut
In 2024, Honda released a new pure electric brand “Ye” designed independently by Honda’s young R&D team in China, with Chinese consumer demand as the core. Recently, the first models of Honda Ye brand, Dongfeng Honda S7 and GAC Honda P7, have been officially launched. In order to continuously meet the diversified needs of Chinese consumers and create a new mobile travel experience, Ye brand’s second model “GT” made its global debut at the Shanghai Auto Show.
